On today’s episode, we are celebrating International Women’s Day with two very special guests whose careers at Fidelity Canada are shining examples of hard work, strength, and success, which is very fitting as this year’s International Women’s Day theme in Canada is strength in every story. Host Emily Anonuevo speaks with Tracy Wong, VP of sales and consultant relations, and Agnes Doherty, VP of Regional Sales for Ontario, who discuss the significance of the day and their career journeys. Tracy and Agnes reflect on the progress made for women in the financial services industry, and speak about the work that is still to be done to achieve gender equality. They talk about the importance of mentorship and allyship in supporting women’s career advancements, and share some advice they would give to their younger selves, along with the strengths and skills they have built up throughout their careers that have contributed to their success. Tracy and Agnes both explain the benefits of the diversity of backgrounds and experiences at Fidelity Canada, and what the company does to create a supportive culture that fosters growth and learning.
